D&K’s proprietary Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ laminating films are 100% manufactured in the USA with 90% US-sourced materials. These revolutionary products feature a top-coated matte surface that offers an unparalleled look and feel. These laminating films create a haze-free matte finish with limited color shift. The matte finish also offers a soft velvet touch that is ideal for high end applications of all types.

Additionally, Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ laminating films are writable. They are receptive to many pens and other common writing instruments. This writable finish is also much clearer than many other writable matte products.

ABRASION RESISTANCE FOR DEMANDING PROJECTS

Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ laminating films are especially suitable for book covers, business cards, folders, postcards, sales literature, pouches/packaging, labels and more. The United States Postal Service has approved D&K’s Nylon Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ laminating films for use on postcards and other mailers. The soft velvet matte surface on nylon versions readily accepts postmarks and processes through automated sorting equipment. These nylon laminating films are also compatible with many other secondary finishing processes including printing, UV spot coating, foil stamping, and more.

Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ finish is offered on a variety of laminating film types including nylon (curl-free), polyester, and polypropylene.

Polyester laminating films can be mapped and matched for perfectly flat products such as cards, mailers, and more. Polyester Diamond Hard Velvet Matte™ overlams can also be mapped and matched with gloss films! Additionally, these films meet requirements for indirect food contact applications as listed in 21CFR177.1630. However, if direct food contact is required or may occur, additional nonporous barrier films may be required.

PRINT COMPATABILITY

These films are available with a variety of D&K laminating adhesives including SuperStick® digital adhesive for digital print types. Special versions are also available with SuperStick® Indigo® adhesives specifically designed for laminating to difficult HP Indigo® digital output.

Unsupported films are also offered without adhesives for wet lamination. Adhesive-less base films are ideal for packaging and labeling applications.
